Our extracurricular activities program is a learning and recreational space, where children can develop and strengthen all their abilities, both cognitive, motor, and emotional. It is aimed at children between 3 to 17 years old.

With the practice of these disciplines we seek that our students develop self- confidence, tolerance, patience, responsibility, and they learn, self- defense techniques, improve their mental discipline and emotional balance.

Karate and Taekwondo
When practicing these disciplines, we are seeking students development of self-confidence, tolerance, patience, responsibility, and that they learn self-defense techniques. They also improve their mental discipline, and emotional balance.
Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball
During the year we participated in different intercollegiate leagues nationwide of which many students have had the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and be chosen to participate in International Tournaments. Our students develop large muscle groups that involve different aspects of physical condition: strength, speed, stability or balance, good posture, etc. During the year they participate in various forms of intercollegiate tournaments representing the school.
Our Middle and High School students participate in different intercollegiate leagues nationwide of which many students have had the opportunity to demonstrate their talent and be chosen to participate in International Tournaments.


Chess
Memory concentration and creativity will increase while practicing constantly- They will also have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired in intercollegiate knowledge.
Robotics
Robotics will allow our students to get involved in their own learning process, encourage the development of their logical thinking, and stimulate their interests in technological sciences. These fields are of great use for professionals in the future.


Painting
Through painting, children discover a world full of colors, shapes, strokes, and imagination, symbolizing feelings and experiences. Painting stimulates communication, creativity, sensitivity and increases the concentration and expression capacity of children. Our students have the opportunity to display the works they have performed at the annual closing extracurricular activities presentation.
Minichef
Our students will reinforce the habit of sharing, they will try new and different foods, they will know the benefits of healthy food through play and recreation.


Ballet and Baby Ballet
With this discipline our students will develop good posture. It will also contribute to the development of psychomotricity, agility and coordination of movements.
Dance
Our students will enhance the development of their self-esteem, their motor skills and coordination in a fun environment. During the year they will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned through choreographic presentations at various school events such as: School Fair, Mother and Father´s Day Celebration, among others.


Folklore
Our students will learn about the importance of our customs and traditions, and will also transmit the importance of our origins to others through fold dance.
Reading Club
Our students will develop the habit of reading, learning new vocabulary words. All of this will help improve comprehensive reading, reading fluency and literacy.


Drama and Theater Club
We want our students to lose their fear of public speaking and gain self- confidence. By adopting different roles and characters, theater is the best tool for the student to show their feelings and ideas.
At the end of the year they will have the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in a theatrical play attended by college students, family members and the general public.
OIS Drum and Lyre Band
Our objective is to highlight the Civic values in our students, create a sense of belonging, achieve better solidarity among other students, and continue promoting cultural plurality.


Tutoring and Directed Study
Our purpose with the tutoring program is to assist and guide our students to the point where they are independent, and successful in their learning.
