Michelle Smith
The great OIS family is pleased to introduce Professor Michelle Smith Drew, our Academic Director, with experience in the field of teaching for more than two decades, teaching students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, and adults in the area of technology.
At Oxford International School, we had the opportunity to witness her experience grow across various areas of schoolwork, from teacher to teachers, counselor, Student Services Coordinator, and Middle School Academic Coordinator.
Her philosophy in education is that all students have the capacity to learn, and all students need an opportunity to shine and grow.

My name is Anabella Calvo, and I have the privilege of coordinating the Preschool stage at Oxford International School. With many years of experience in education, I am passionate about supporting families in this very special beginning of their educational journey, creating close and meaningful connections with each child and their environment.
In our Preschool area, you will find a safe, nurturing space designed for our youngest learners to explore, play, and learn with joy. We foster curiosity, autonomy, creativity, and strong values, always working hand in hand with families to support the comprehensive development of every student.

My name is Sandra Batista, and I am the Elementary Section Coordinator at our school. With a deep passion for education and many years of experience, I am excited to support each student during this crucial stage of their academic and personal development.
In Elementary, we help our students develop essential life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
We strongly believe in the importance of close collaboration with families. Together, we can ensure that every child reaches their full potential, developing not only their academic abilities but also their values and emotional well-being.

As the Pre-Middle School Coordinator, it is an honor to welcome you to this key stage of our students’ academic and personal development, which includes grades 5 through 8.
In Pre-Middle, our students experience a challenging and enriching environment. They begin to build a solid foundation for the demands of high school, developing critical thinking, trilingual communication, responsibility, and collaborative work skills. Each grade level offers meaningful experiences that strengthen their academic, social, and emotional skills.
